OVERVIEW

Habitat for Humanity’s Orlando chapter made a rush request for a total rewrite of a house file mailing. They mailed this letter out for the first time in their 2022 fall mailing, and they’ve reused it multiple times since then.

“Today's soaring cost of living is a problem for everyone - renters and homeowners alike. But for families living in inadequate housing, it's devastating.”

I aimed to appeal to the reader’s empathy by conveying a sense of community and togetherness. The overall message is, “your gift will change the lives of families we serve and, in turn, make our community a better place for everyone who lives here.”
The letter wraps by reminding the reader that their money will be in good hands and will make a big impact.
